This tool works best on hair that is only slightly damp. Apply a twist and lock gel or your regular styling gel to your slightly damp hair. You can also apply some of your styling product to the sponge. Use a sponge and move in a circular motion. Do not press hard on the hair. Twist in one direction only. Within minutes you will have a head of perfectly formed twists.
