Food Mitmitta comes from eastern Ethiopia and has an orange-red color.
Mitmita is a spice mixture that goes a long way beyond Berbere. In addition to ground Pili Pili chili peppers, the mixture also contains cardamom seeds, garlic, black cumin, ginger and salt.

Mitmita is used in particular for the famous kitfo, beef tartare. It is also served with injera and goes very well with chicken broth, lamb tagine with prunes or vegetable puree. Mitmita is mainly used as a dry dip.
