You must follow the instructions to avoid skin and scalp burns, permanent hair loss, blindness and/or eye injuries. Contains sodium hydroxide (alkaline - causes burns). Do not use if scalp is irritated or injured (e.g. scratched or sore). Do not use on bleached hair. Do not use on hair that breaks, splits or is damaged. On permanently colored hair that does not break, split or damage, use only Mild STRENGTH movements. Do not use if hair has been treated with a curly perm or other thiol products such as thiol glycolate, thiolactate, cysteine, cysteamine or bisulfite. Do not use on hair treated with progressive colors, metallic dyes or compound hennas. On previously relaxed hair, just relax the new hair as described in the instructions. Avoid contact with skin and scalp. If the relaxer causes skin or scalp irritation, rinse immediately and neutralize with MOTIONS PROFESSIONAL NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO. If irritation persists or hair loss occurs, seek medical attention. DO NOT USE if customer has previously responded to a similar product. avoid contact with eyes. If a relaxant gets into your eyes, rinse immediately and contact a doctor or poison control center. For external use only. If relaxer is swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor or poison control center. Protective gel must be used around the hairline, neck, ears and forehead. Wear gloves when applying and rinsing. Close tighter after use. Keep out of reach of children. DO: Read all warnings carefully. Follow all instructions carefully. Carefully check the condition of the scalp before use. Do a strand test before relaxing. Immediately remove all products from skin with a damp cloth. Keep hair away from sparks or flames. DO: Do not use if hair has been shampooed within 48 hours prior to using relaxer. Scratch, brush or otherwise irritate or stimulate scalp before relaxation. Do not use if braids or extensions have been removed within the last two weeks Do not pull, comb or stretch hair during use. Do not use heat in any step of the process other than styling. Don't miss any new growth for at least 6 weeks. PRELIMINARY TEST: Wear gloves. Apply a small amount of relxer to several strands of hair along the new growth. Smooth with gloves for recommended time (see TIMING GUIDE). Do not reapply relaxer to these. STRANDS DURING THE RELAXING PROCESS: Rinse, shampoo and towel dry only the relaxer strands. Do not wet other hair or scalp. Monitor loose hair strands for possible damage. If the test shows breakage or damage or scalp irritation, do not use a relaxer.
